Akasvayu Girona are on a role, both in the EuroCup and the ACB, but head coach Svetislav Pesic is still cautious about his team’s match-up against BC Kalev in Estonia this evening.
The Spanish giants are yet to lose in the EuroCup, while Kalev are winless in the second round.
“Kalev is a good, very motivated team,” Pesic said.
“For us, as a newly formatted team, winning away games are very important on our way to becoming a top team.”
“We won three games so far in this competition, but to advance to the next round we have to first of all win here in Tallinn.”
Girona are coming off an impressive showing this past weekend in which they defeated Bruesa GBC 89-77 to improve their ACB record to 15-4.
Last week in the EuroCup, they defeated Virtus Bologna in comprehensive fashion, 106-74.
