Cheryl Ford had arguably her best game in Europe in Ekaterinburg’s opening EuroLeague Women game in the 2006-2007 season. She scored 37 points as her team upset the defending champion Gambrinus Brno. The game set the pace for a terrific EuroLeague Women campaign in which she tallied double-digit scoring in nine of her team’s first 13 games. In 2005-2006, Ford played with Anda in the EuroCup Women.
Ford played for the USA national team that earned a bronze medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship. The American center helped the Detroit Shock win the 2006 WNBA title, averaging 13.4 ppg a contest.
