Ukraine: Kyiv, Azovmash And Khimik Win

Ukraine's EuroCup sides Azovmash, BC Kyiv and Khimik all won their Superliga games at the weekend.

Azovmash had no problems with Politekhnika in Lviv, beating the home side 103-65.

Panagiotis Liadelis and Nikola Radulovic each poured in 19 points for the Mariupol side. 

Azovmash, the defending Ukraine champions, will face Lokomotiv in Rostov in Group C of the EuroCup on Tuesday.

BC Kyiv remained the only team in Ukraine with no defeats after whipping BC Odesa 106-79.

LaMarr Greer and Co trailed after the first quarter on Saturday but Kyiv a spectacular performance in the third quarter propelled them to victory.

Greer was the star for Kyiv, scoring 32 points and dishing out six assists.

Khimik had the toughest game of the three when they took on Budivelnyk in Kiev.

The Yuzhny side trailed Budivelnyk 63-54 in the third quarter, but Oleksandr Kolchenko, who scored 13 points, helped Khimik fight back and win 83-79.

Serbian internationals Aleksandr Djuric and Goran Cakic netted 16 and 14 points, respectively, for the Yuzhny side.

"I'm glad that at last we won so close a game," said Khimik coach Zvezdan Mitrovic.

"No doubt, we received a great boost before tough match against Dynamo Moscow Region." 

Khimik play against Dynamo in the EuroCup on November 14.
