Dynamo Moscow won the inaugural Aleksandr Gomelsky Memorial trophy in Yuzhny after beating BC Khimik 99-72 to top the standings in the four-team tournament.

The Russians dominated the game and held a 21-point advantage heading into the final quarter before wrapping up the contest.

Mire Chatman top-scored for Dynamo with 31 points while Yaroslav Zubritsky lead Khimik with 13 points.

Despite the loss, Khimik coach Zvezdan Mitrovic had few complaints about his team.

"I'm satisfied with our performance especially with our young players. We appeared to be a good team," he said.

UNICS finished second in the table thanks to a 93-71 win over BC Kyiv in what was also a warm-up for next month's EuroCup clash between the two teams.

Krzysztof Lavrinovic claimed 27 points and seven rebounds for the winners with Leonid Yaylo scoring 22 points for Kyiv in a losing cause.

"I suppose today's and our future rivals are still looking to improve," said UNICS coach Antanas Sireika.

"It was good tournament but I'm frustrated with some injuries to my players."

Dynamo, Khimik and UNICS all finished with a 2-1 record in the tournament but the Moscow team led the standings thanks to a better points difference.
