BC Khimik boss Zvezdan Mitrovic has stepped down as coach and taken on the role of director of sport in a bid to improve results.
Mitrovic made the decision after the team's recent Superleague defeat to Cherkasy, with the club appointing Lithuanian Zydrunas Zvinklis as his replacement.
"Recently, we've shown some bad performances so I understood that I needed to change something," Mitrovic said.
"I'll stay at club because I feel responsibility. Right now, I'll help the new coach adjust to his new job."
Zvinklis recently worked in Yuzhny with Adjalyyk.
Mitrovic joined Khimik after they advanced to Superliga in the summer of 2002. |
