LaMarr Greer added another game-winning shot to his curriculum vitae when he buried a three-pointer just before the end to send BC Kyiv past in-form Cherkaski Mavpy.
Greer, a EuroCup all-star, came to the rescue after Volodymyr Gurtovyy's two free throws had given the hosts a 76-75 advantage.
The triumph was a seventh straight for Kyiv, who had trailed by as many as 19 points.
Greer and Co are the only unbeaten side in Ukraine's Superliga.
"Our main problem is rebounds," said Kyiv coach Viktor Berezhnoy.
"We lost on the boards because we have just two good rebounders - Artur Drozdov and Grigoriy Khizhnyak.
"However, I'm glad we could come back after the first half."
Drozdov finished with 16 points and six rebounds for Kyiv.
"It's pity that we couldn't preserve 19-point lead," said Mavpy coach Andriy Podkovyrov.
"We lost because of our own mistakes."
Khimik, after suffering defeats three games in a row, hammered Kharkiv-Politechnik 122-92. |
