Whitfield Among Ural Great Additions

In preparation for their upcoming EuroCup season, Ural Great have re-loaded their roster led by the signing of guard Maurice Whitfield.

The 186-cm guard averaged 11.3 ppg last season for CEZ Nymburk and has also played with the Czech national team.

Whitfield will be joined by several other newcomers.

Kresimir Loncar will play the upcoming season with Lokomotiv Rostov.
Forward Stanislav Makshantsev signed from PAOK on a two-year deal, while American guard Derrik Tarver has also joined.

The signings of Azerbaijan international forward Alexander Ryndin and guard Alexander Belov have furthered boosted the club.

Egor Vyaltsev is the only player to remain in the squad from last season after the club agreed to extend his loan from CSKA.

Elsewhere, Lokomotiv Rostov have also moved to strengthened their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Croatian forward Kresimir Loncar, guard Valentin Kubrakov and forward Vangelis Sklavos have all signed, while American forward Omar Sneed's presence will reinforce the squad. 

Lastly, Gazprom gas company have become the main sponsor of Spartak.

The club's former sponsor YUIT Lentek sold the club's 100% share to Gazprom.
