Azovmash coach Rimas Girskis admitted his side took some time to get into their stride as they saw off Khimik 82-64 in their latest game.
Azovmash were in confident mood after finishing top of Group J in Round Two of the EuroCup, but struggled in the first half before inflicting a second consecutive defeat on Khimik.
Girskis said: "I'm not satisfied with the fact my team couldn`t make a decisive run in the first half.
"Our defense started to work just after the break and the game was decided just at the end of the third quarter. That`s why our leaders spent too much time on a court."
Serhiy Lishchuk was top scorer for Azovmash, notching 19 points and nine rebounds, while Cedrik Henderson bagged 19 points for Khimik.
Azovmash have a tough EuroCup quarter-final showdown on the horizon with DTL EKA AEL of Cyprus. |
