Azovmash beat Cherkasi Mavpy 88-70 to continue their pursuit of the Ukrainian Superleague title.
A fine first-half performance from Mavpy's Keniel Dickens was not enough to stop the EuroCup semi-finalists taking a 47-34 lead into the third period, and they never looked back.
Khalid El-Amin top-scored for the winners with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Ricardo Powell poured in 21 points.
Dickens and team-mate Arthur Johnson both scored 23 points for Mavpy.
"This game was very important for us," said El-Amin.
"They beat us with a big advantage in Mariupol, so we needed to come back and win here.
"I let the game come to me as usual and after the first quarter we played pretty well as a whole team."
By beating Mavpy, Azovmash stayed in with a good chance of winning the Superliga regular championship.
They face current leaders BC Kyiv on April 6. |
