There's No Place Like Home For Azovmash

Azovmash are  hoping to ride their homecourt advantage to victory over DTL EKA AEL Lemesos and into the EuroCup Final Four.

The defending Ukrainian champions have won 10 consecutive games on their home floor in Mariupol, dating back to December 20, 2005 when they prevailed in a game against BC Khimki.

The last of those 10 wins came last week in the opening contest in their best-of-three quarter-final against the EKA.

However, they suffered an 85-79 setback in Limassol on Friday, which has set up a deciding third game.

"We'll do our best to continue our winning ways in Mariupol," said Azomash coach Rimas Girskis.

"Despite AEL being very strong, we made right conclusions from Friday's defeat and hope to execute our plan in the deciding match.

As for away game in Cyprus, Girskis said. "We played well but in the second half of the match, the rival team adjusted their performance very well. AEL made some fantastic baskets and of course, they were eager to vindicate themselves before their home crowd."
