29.01.2007

Dynamo Moscow Region surrendered a 12-point half-time lead as they lost 83-73 to Khimki Moscow Region on Saturday.

EuroCup participants Dynamo used a strong second quarter to take a sound lead in the locker rooms at the break, but they had little answer for the hosts in the third quarter as they were outscored 31-16.

That left them trailing by three, 65-62, when the fourth quarter got underway.

Giedrius Gustas made it 67-64, but when Dzhoshua Devis missed a three-pointer for Dynamo, it sparked a 14-4 run for Khimki which settled the contest.

Nikolay Padius led Dynamo with 19 points while Fedor Likholitov had 15 and seven rebounds.

Kelly McCarty was the top scorer for Khimki with 17 points.

Second-place UNICS Kazan recorded an 83-71 win over Spartak St Petersburg as Yahor Mescharakov poured in 21 points.

Saturday's other game saw Ural Great win 79-68 on the road against University-Ugra.
