07 November 2006

JDA Dijon opened their EuroCup campaign with an 85-68 home victory over Ironi Iscar Nahariya on Tuesday night.

Maleye Ndoye top-scored for Dijon with 23 points as they left it late to secure the win against the Israeli outfit at the Palais des Sport Jean-Michel Geoffroy.

Anthony Lux, who was five from nine from two-point range, also weighed in with 16 points for the winners, while Jonathan Aka poured in 15.

Raviv Limonad top scored for Nahariya with 14 points while Vedran Vukusic contributed 13 and Ido Kozikaro 12.

The home side started the brightest and they raced into a 24-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.

But the away side then recovered from their early setback and reduced Djion's lead to 38-33 at the halfway stage.

Dijon failed to extend their advantage in the third quarter as the two teams ended 62-57.

But a stunning final period from Dijon - inspired by Ndoye and Lux - helped them record an 85-68 win.

Ndoye had a 60% record from three-point range after netting three of his five attempts, while Lux's seven rebounds also proved crucial for the
winners.
