MKB Euroleasing completed the double over USO Mondeville with a comfortable 84-62 victory to close the gap on leaders Spartak Moscow Region in Group A of EuroLeague Women.
A month after beating the French outfit in Mondeville, the Hungarians did it again, this time on their own patch with Ivana Matovic playing a starring role.
Not only did the giant center end the game as its top scorer with 20 points, she also grabbed six rebounds.
The win puts MKB on a 5-2 record, and they are now just one victory behind Spartak, who were beaten by Wisla Can-pack on Wednesday.
Matovic was aided by Reka Cserny (16 points and seven rebounds) as the hosts built on their 48-29 half-time advantage to stroll home.
Mondeville stay fourth with this defeat and know they still need two more wins to be completely sure of qualifying for the next stage.
They had two players in double figures, Hamchetou Maiga with 18 points and Ieva Kublina with 17 points, with the latter also grabbing nine boards in a losing cause.
