Spirou Beat Khimik, March Into Next Round

Andre Riddick had 18 points and eight rebounds as Spirou Charleroi qualified for the next stage of the EuroCup with a 70-63 victory over Khimik Yuzhny.

The victory has left the Belgian side with three wins from four games, and it also completed a double over 1-3 Khimik.

Dynamo Moscow Region are 4-0 and top Group B while BC Barons Riga are 0-4.

Khimik led 21-18 early in the second quarter but were unable to protect that advantage with the hosts reeling off eight straight points.

Ralph Biggs tied the game with a three-pointer, Riddick followed with a three-point play and Kris Sergeant added another basket for a 26-21 advantage.

When Amit Tamir hit a three-ball right before the half, the Belgians had extended their advantage to 39-28.

Khimik did not give up, with Cedric Henderson's three closing the gap to 57-52 with 7:05 to play in the game.

Gregory Grays replied immediately with a three-pointer to propel Spirou Charleroi to victory.
