Coach Lubor Blazek believes ZVVZ USK Prague can boost their chances of progressing in the EuroLeague Women with a victory over Halcon Avenida on Wednesday.
Halcon have suffered back-to-back away defeats by Bourges Basket and MiZo Pecs, while Blazek's side have managed only one win during this campaign, a 62-53 triumph over Dexia Namur, while suffering recent home defeats by table-toppers CSKA Volgaburmash and Bourges Basket.
"We want to hold on to our chances of playing in the next part of the competition. We could be close with a win in Salamanca," said Blazek.
"Salamanca won the first game in Prague (62-51) but we were not mentally strong then and our players were together for only a short period.
"We feel our power is bigger and bigger every single week now. Players have seen they can perform against top teams like Bourges and Samara (CSKA Volgaburmash) despite losing both games.
"I hope we will utilise these experiences against Salamanca."
