Unstoppable Vojvodina made it 11 wins in a row in the Serbian basketball championship by crushing second-placed city rivals Novi Sad, 83-71.
The hosts took control early on and stormed into a 58-31 lead in the third quarter before letting their opponents salvage pride with a late flurry of points.
Vojvodina coach Velimir Gasic said: "Due to numerous injuries, I didn't expect us to finish the first part of championship without a single defeat, but good defensive performances like this one have helped us achieved that."
Hungarian international Istvan Nemeth's 19 points and Uros Duvnjak's 14 were crucial for Vojvodina while Slobodan Bjelica's 20 points weren't enough for Novi Sad who drop to 7-5.
That puts them level with Mega Ishrana who defeated Masinac, 74-66.
Miladin Pekovic's 23 points, six rebounds and five assists were crucial for Mega Ishrana's victory.
Borac's hopes of qualifying for the Superleague took a knock with a 80-79 defeat at the hands of second bottom Beograd despite another MVP performance of Zoran Osmokrovic.
He had 24 points and eight assists while his team-mate Milan Bralovic missed what would have been a game-winning shot at the buzzer.
Sloga were lucky to escape against bottom side Napredak but, thanks to Perica Mitic's free throws and a turnover in the final seconds, they won the game 71-70.
In other matches, Radnicki defeated Zdravlje 81-89 on the back of Radovan Pesic's 24 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Swisslion easily outplayed Ergonom 102-83 with Milos Minic's 18 points leading five players with double-digit scores for the hosts.
