Virtus Bologna have lost two in a row in Lega A with a EuroCup setback to Akasvayu Girona sandwiched in between.
But coach Zare Markovski is not about to hit the panic button.
When it was suggested Markovski's team were in a crisis on Thursday, he replied: "What crisis? I don't believe we are in a crisis."
Results do not lie, however.
The Italian giants go into this weekend's Lega A home game against Lottomatica Roma after a 65-57 defeat at Upea Capo D'Orlando, which had followed their 99-92 defeat at Tisettanta Cantu.
Virtus are still in second place, but just one game clear of Armani Jeans Milano.
After the hard game against Roma, Markovski's men then face a tough Turk Telekom in Ankara in opening game of their EuroCup quarter-final tie.
"I don't know whether we will finish second in the regular season or not, I don't think about the past or the future, just about the present," Markovski said.
"The fact that we are second in the standings is great but I want to win all the games and the rest doesn't interest me."
In the loss to Upea, there was no denying that Virtus disappeared at the end of the game.
Brett Blizzard had given the visitors a 52-49 lead with just over six minutes remaining, and Virtus scored just five points the rest of the way.
Markovski says he his teams efforts are being undermined by injuries.
"I believe in the work we do daily but yesterday we only had six players available for training in the gym," said Markovski.
Travis Best, Kris Lang, Christian Drejer, Blizzard, Andrea Michelori and long-term injury victim, captain Fabio Di Bella, have all struggled with fitness or illness.
The coach admits an injection of quality would be welcome.
"We are in need of a player that brings quality to the team," he said.
"There are not many players out there but I want and we need an exterior player."
Markovski does remain optimistic.
"Andrea Crosariol is growing game by game and I am very happy with him," he said.
"Dusan Vukcevic is playing his best season in Italy while Ilievski is proving why he still has a lot of room for improvement.
"Blizzard and Guilherme Giovannoni are playing above our expectations.
"We have played 16 games in 40 days and the team needs support because we deserve it considering what we have done."
