Bourges Survive Scare, Maintain Perfect Record
// Donnerstag, 23. November 2006

Bourges Basket remained undefeated in EuroLeague Women Group B but they were pushed to the maximum by USK Prague.

The French side have now won all four of their pool matches following a hard-fought 57-53 success in the Czech capital.

Winless USK threatened to break that record after establishing a 25-22 lead at half-time, but Bourges cranked up the pressure in the second half to claim the victory.

Grace Daley (ZVVZ USK Prague)
Grace Daley had 13 points for USK Prague.
The match could still have gone either way in the latter stages, though.

A Vicky Hall free throw put Bourges 55-53 ahead with 39 seconds left, but that advantage would have been overturned had American guard Grace Daley been successful with two attempts - one from outside the arc and one from two-point range.

Both missed the basket, leaving Emmeline Ndongue to take full advantage with two free throws for Bourges to make sure of the triumph.

Evanthia Maltsi top scored for the visitors with 15 points, while USK's Janell Burse can count herself unlucky to have been on the losing side after scoring 14 points and pulling down eight rebounds.
