Germany Women Look To Rebound

When Germany missed out on the EuroBasket Women in Latvia, it was a huge disappointment for a country that had been looking to build on a solid performance two years earlier in Italy.

Though they didn't advance to the Quarter-Finals in Chieti in 2007, they did upset the defending champions Czech Republic in the Qualifying Round, a result that filled the players, coaching staff and fans with confidence and hope for the future.

2009 Hosts Drawn Into Group B // 16 January 2010 Italy narrowly missed out on a place at the FIBA World Championship for Women in the Czech Republic after a 60-56 defeat to Greece at last year's EuroBasket Women. EuroBasket 2011 Qualifying Draw Seedings Announced // 06 January 2010 FIBA Europe has announced the seedings for the draws of the Eurobasket 2011 and EuroBasket Women 2011 Qualifying Rounds and the Youth European Championships 2010, which will take place in Freising, Germany on Saturday, 16th January. According to FIBA Europe regulations the seeding method for the draw is based on the results of the most recent FIBA Europe official competitions, with the last tournament being the most important.
