Pierre Vincent has no hesitation in accepting the offer to coach the French women's national side after being told he can remain in charge of Bourges as well.
Vincent, an assistant coach to Jacky Commeres on last year's national team at the EuroBasket Women in Italy, was named the new boss of the Women's side on Tuesday.
Vincent said: "When someone asks you to be national team coach, it is difficult to say no.
"I was worried when I had to decide which job to put first, but when they said I was able to lead both teams, I reflected a lot and I finally accepted it.
"I think it is a good formula. The only negative thing is the protection of my family and my personal space."
Vincent has done a remarkable job this season with a Bourges side that lost numerous players in the summer, steering them into the quarter-finals of the EuroLeague Women.
