Ros Complete Sweep Of ZVVZ In Prague
// 05 February 2010
Ros Casares became the first team to book their place in the last eight of Euroleague Women as they swept ZVVZ USK Prague after securing an 85-74 success in the Czech capital.

Veteran DeLisha Milton led the way with 18 points and six rebounds as the all round strength and depth of the Spanish giants proved a big factor.

It was far from a vintage display by the Valencia based club but their usual work-rate and experience left USK Prague always playing catch-up. The visitors dominated from tip to buzzer after storming into an early 18-4 lead.

While Prague tried to keep pace, they found themselves 24-12 behind after the first ten minutes of action. In a more evenly contested second period, Prague were more effective but still found themselves 41-28 behind at the break.

That didn't deter the home team and to their credit, they worked hard to claw their way back and managed to get within 8 points with just under four minutes to go after a score by Sandra Le Drean.

However Ros Casares regained control down the stretch to ease their way into the quarter-finals.

While Prague finished with four players in double-figures, Eurobasket Women MVP Evina Maltsi and the in-form Lindsay Whalen were well shackled by the Ros Casares defence and neither could produce the kind of magical display their team so desperately needed.
