EuroLeague Women juggernauts Gambrinus Brno have signed Latvia national team power forward Liene Jansone to a three-year contract.

The move will come as a huge relief to Gambrinus fans who were pining for an important player following the departures of Ivana Vecerova and Jana Vesela to Ros Casares.

Katie Douglas had hoped to celebrate a EuroLeague Women title with Ros Casares last season but fell one-game short of the quarter-finals.

Now she'll have a shot at European glory again after signing a deal with CSKA Moscow - another club with lofty goals but one whose 2007-08 campaign unraveled when they lost to UMMC Ekaterinburg in the last eight of the EuroLeague.

Anna Montañana loved her time in Salamanca with Perfumerias Avenida but on Friday admitted Ros Casares had made her an offer she couldn't refuse when explaining why she'd decided to return to the Spain giants for a second spell.

There is now a very good chance that the 27-year-old Montañana, who will play for the Spanish national team at the Beijing Olympics this summer, will be able to realise another dream by taking part in the EuroLeague Final Four next year.

Ros Casares may have just become the favorites to win the EuroLeague Women after signing Czech Republic international Jana Vesela to a two-year contract.

The 1.94m forward, a European champion with the Czechs in 2005 and a EuroLeague Women winner with Gambrinus Brno in 2006, joins a star-studded Ros Casares side that has also added Amaya Valdemoro and Regina Palusna this summer while keeping Elisa Aguilar, Laia Palau and Delisha-Milton Jones on the books.

Ros Casares have bolstered their already formidable lineup with the signing of emerging Slovakia international Regina Palusna.

The 1.92m center was one of the top players at last year's U18 European Championship and she also played for her country at the U19 World Championship.

Israeli international Liron Cohen has signed for Slovakia giants Kosit 2013 for next season.

Cohen, a 1.73m guard, played in the EuroCup Women this season with Liga Femenina outfit San Jose Baloncesto Leon and averaged 9.7 points, 2.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
