Bobby Maze led the hosts with a game-high 23 points

Keravnos Strovolou won their second straight game in Group B of the EuroChallenge, clinching an 88-76 victory at home over CSU Asesoft Ploiesti to improve to 2-1.

Keravnos were carried by Bobby Maze (23 points) and Antonio Crocker (20 points), who combined for 43 points, four rebounds, 10 assists and seven steals.

Lawrence Kinnard added 16 points and Panagiotis Trisokkas chipped in 11 points for the Cypriots, who have won both home games thus far.

Ploiesti dropped to 0-3 - with two road losses - despite 15 points from Vladimir Tica, while Virgil Stanescu had 13 points, Catalin Burlacu scored 11 and Darius Hargrove added 10.

Crocker scored the hosts' first eight points and had 10 as Keravnos led 16-11. Tica's three-ball started a 10-0 run as Ploiesti led 21-16. And the Romanians were still ahead 25-23 after one quarter.

The second period had seven lead changes and one tie as Keravnos went into the break up 40-37. The game continued to remain tight with Keravos' 53-48 lead the biggest of the third quarter.

Ploiesti tied the game at 56, 58 and 60, but Trisokkas' layup gave the hosts a 62-60 advantage after three quarters.

Kinnard scored six points in a 10-2 run early in the fourth quarter and the gap was still 74-65 with just more than two minutes to play. Maze and Crocker iced the game by making 10 of 12 free throws in the final 63 seconds.
