When you normally see Roko-Lenic Ukic in action, you hear the pounding of his high-tops on the hardwood.
If you were to visit Roko at his parent's house back in Croatia, though, you'd hear a different kind of pounding - the pounding of wooden sticks on drums!
What? You didn't know that?
Well, you do now because FIBA Europe spent `24 Seconds with Roko-Leni Ukic'.
FIBA Europe: Roko, tell us what the first thing is that springs into your mind each morning.
Roko-Leni Ukic: I have a baby daughter so my first thought is, "Is she okay? Is she breathing?" I'm a father for a first time, so I get worried about all these things. So every morning when I wake up, I thank God that she's alright.
FIBA Europe: So many players listen to music before games. Do you, and if so, what do you listen to?
Roko Leni-Ukic: It depends what kind of mood I'm in and what kind of game we're playing but for sure, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and sometimes Bob Marley, and sometimes Guns & Roses.
FIBA Europe: What kind of car would you like to own and drive to work?
Roko Leni-Ukic: I'm not much into cars, but probably I'd choose a big car because you want to be safe when driving. Besides, if you have a big car and somebody hits you, there's less damage. If I had to pick one, I'd choose the Audi Q7.
FIBA Europe: What do you spend a lot of money on?
Roko Leni-Ukic: I spend a lot of money on DVDs and CDs. Now I kind of tend to buy two or good three CDs over the year because I've already got all the music I like.
FIBA Europe: What's your favourite movie?
Roko Leni-Ukic: I could choose 20. But if I had to choose, I'd have to say the Rocky series. I can't choose one out of that series (as the best) because they're all good. If I had to pick an actor, I'd pick Robert De Niro.
FIBA Europe: If you weren't a basketball player, what would you do?
Roko Leni-Ukic: I would play drums, become a professional drummer. I'm not good enough to play in a band but as an amateur I'm all right. My father was in a rock band in Croatia for 15 years. The translation of the name of my father's rock band would be Faraway Coast, similar to a song they had. In Croatia, they are very popular but obviously abroad, because of the language, it is hard for any Croatian band to get international recognition.
