Maccabi Tel Aviv made their return to the Adriatic League after eight years a memorable one by winning the championship.

David Blatt's team defeated Cedevita Zagreb, 87-77, on Monday night in Tel Aviv to cap a campaign that saw the Israeli giants win 26 of their 27 games.

Keith Langford was named the MVP of the Final Four after following up his 17-point display in the semi-final triumph over Buducnost with 21 against Cedevita.

"The players achieved something amazing by coming through this season and winning this title," Blatt said.

There were 11,000 spectators at Monday's title game.

Maccabi will now turn their attention to the Israeli BSL play-offs.

Blatt's side will host BC Habika'a in Game 1 of their quarter-final series on Wednesday night.

PANATHINAIKOS REACH GREEK FINALS

Panathinaikos are at the business end of their season and so far, so good for Zeljko Obradovic's team.

Having remained on course to defend their Turkish Airlines Euroleague title by reaching the Final Four with a quarter-final series triumph over Maccabi, the Greens have now made it back to the Greek play-off finals for another showdown with rivals Olympiacos.

Panathinaikos clinched a 3-1 triumph over Kolossos with a 74-66 win on Monday night in Rhodes.

Ian Vougioukas had 17 points and four rebounds for Obradovic's team.

Olympiacos, who have also reached the Euroleague Final Four, reached the Greek finals after a 3-0 sweep of Panionios.
