UMFN claimed the 2005-2006 Iceland Express-league title by defeating Skallagrímur 3 games to 1 in the finals.

Jeb Ivey scored 30 points and former Manhattan College stand-out Brenton Birmingham chipped in with 22 to lead UMFN to an 81-60 clinching win in game four.

UMFN opened the finals with an 89-70 win but Skallagrímur evened the series by taking game two, 87-77.

Behind a 32 point performance from Birmingham in game three, UMFN cruised to a 107-76 win in game three.

UMFN finished the regular season with a 17-5 record, second-best in the 12-team league.

They defeated KR 3 games to 1 in the semi-finals and swept IR in the quarter-finals.
