Ersan Ilyasova-Turkey and Milwaukee Bucks

Turkey had as much to prove as any team at EuroBasket 2009 as hosts of next summer's FIBA World Championships. Thanks to Ilyasova they showed that they are a team to be reckoned with on home soil in 2010. The 2.08m forward led the Turks to five straight wins before being eliminated from medal contention in the Quarter-Finals. He averaged 16.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in the competition, including a 22 point 11 rebound performance in a win over eventual silver medallists Serbia. On the club side, Ilyasova helped to lead Barcelona to the Euroleague Final Four in 2009.
