Allianz Swans Gmunden claimed the Austrian title on Thursday night by beating WBC Kraftwerk Wels 90-64 to seal a 3-1 success in the best-of five finals.

Gmunden, who finished the regular season on top of the standings, built up a convincing 49-32 lead by half-time in Game 4 and never looked back after the break.

Deteri Mayes stood out with 26 points for the winners.

They looked on course to complete a clean sweep in the finals when they took a 2-0 lead thanks to 86-57 and 86-78 wins earlier in the series.

Wels fought back, sneaking an 83-80 success in Game 3, but Gmunden proved too strong in Game 4.
