BASKETBALL IN EUROPE
|USK Prague will be the fifth club in veteran center Rebekkah Brunson's EuroLeague Women career|
ZVVZ USK Prague have continued the rebuilding of their squad with the signing of veteran center Rebekkah Brunson.
A EuroLeague Women star who spent the past two seasons at Ros Casares and Nadezhda, respectively, Brunson is now in the WNBA with the Minnesota Lynx - the side she helped fire to the title last year.
Brunson, 30, averaged 15.5 points and 9.2 rebounds this season with Nadezhda.
"Rebekkah has signed a contract with us for one year, as well as previously announced reinforcements Kia Vaughn and Jelena Skerovic," said Prague general manager Marek Kucera.
Prague, who reached the Second Round of the EuroLeague Women but then fell to Wisla Can-Pack Krakow, now have an impressive front line.
The side will have Czech international Ilona Burgrova back and the team has also signed Kia Vaughn, who spent this season with Cras Basket Taranto.
"Ilona Burgrova, Rebekkah Brunson, Kia Vaughn ... I think it is really a great strength," Kucera said.
