29 July 2009

Dexia Mons-Hainaut have snapped up experienced American swingman Craig Callahan as they build their squad for the EuroCup Qualifying Round.

The 28-year-old Callahan has had stints in the Czech Republic, Spain and most recently Germany since heading to Europe out of college.

He spent last season playing in Germany's top flight for Bremerhaven, averaging 14.9 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Callahan has an often spectacular game, and was the winner of slam dunk contests during his time with Prostejov in the Czech Republic.

Dexia will host Valencia in the EuroCup Qualifying Round on October 20, with the return leg a week later.
