Estonia: Kuusma Set For Coaching Role

16.06.2005

Estonian champions Ehitustooriist have offered legendary player Aivar Kuusmaa the position of
head coach.

The 38-year-old Kuusmaa is eager to take up a coaching job after finishing his playing career, but he did not expect the first offer so quickly.

"When they first talked to me, I was speechless," Kuusmaa told SL Ohtuleht.

Kuusmaa has just returned from holiday in Croatia and will meet the Ehitustooriist board later this week to discuss the plans.

"I am not denying that the challenge is very appealing," he said. "I have to start my new career some place, some time. Offers like that will not necessarily come again.

"First of all we have to sit down with the board and talk about the club's plans and aims. I would also like to discuss it with the players," he added.
