Bourges and Challes-les-Eaux have narrow advantages in their French LFB play-off Semi-Final ties after winning the opening legs on Wednesday night.

Endene Miyem, who struggled all game long offensively, scored for a 52-51 lead with 1:10 remaining for Bourges and they scraped a 54-53 win at Mondeville.

Kristen Sharpe's basket had given the hosts a 51-50 advantage but France international Miyem answered and following a miss by Ingrid Tanqueray for Mondeville, Catherine Joens made two free-throws.

Sharpe answered with a bucket to close the gap to one and that's how the game finished.

Celine Dumerc and Marielle Amant had 12 points apiece for Bourges while Emmeline Ndongue added 11 on two-of-11 shooting.

Minte Hhadyia finished with a game-high 14 points in defeat.

Mali international Naignouma Coulibaly had a game-high 11 rebounds to go with her nine points for Mondeville.

Danielle Page poured in 20 points as Challes-les-Eaux downed Lattes Montpellier 74-69.

Challes-les-Eaux faced a large deficit going into the last quarter but outscored the visitors 25-11 the rest of the way.

Mistie Mims and Germany international Romy Bar added 17 and 14 points, respectively, for the home side.

Fatimatou Sacko scored 16 points and corralled 14 rebounds for Montpellier.

The return legs will be played on Saturday.
