Besiktas Milangaz have given their fans a season they'll never forget.

Already, the club has won the Turkish Cup and the EuroChallenge.

Now, starting Tuesday, Besiktas will attempt to add a Turkish league crown to their trophy cabinet when they begin their Beko Basketbol Ligi play-off finals showdown with Anadolu Efes.

Efes came in third in the regular season standings ahead of Besiktas and also competed in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

But those two facts will not strike fear into Besiktas because already in the play-offs, they have swept Euroleague outfit Fenerbahce in the quarter-finals and in the semis, they have overcome Galatasaray - another Euroleague team that came in first in the regular-season standings.

"Besiktas Milangaz has an upward-going graph in the play-offs," Besiktas coach Ergin Ataman said.

"We have a huge amount of self-confidence due to winning the EuroChallenge and the Turkish Cup.

"Five wins in six derbies (in the play-offs) shows our strength."

Just how far have Besiktas come this season?

The club is now talking about playing in next year's Euroleague.

One reason why they have been able to compete at such a high level has been the unyielding support of sponsors, Milangaz, who have spared no expense in turning the team into a juggernaut.

"The Milangaz sponsorship will expire in 15 days," Ataman said after his team's semi-final Game 4 triumph over Galatasaray.

"Erdogan Demiroren (owner of Milangaz - father of previous chairman Yildirim Demiroren) shows us a great support.

"Our chairman, Fikret Orman, also wants to keep this partnership.

"My wish is also the same.

"Besiktas' goals in basketball are growing.

"We showed that we are capable of playing at Euroleague, but we must know our future as soon as possible."
