Woods Pips Logan in Polish MVP Voting

Qyntel Woods edged Asseco Prokom Gdynia teammate David Logan in the MVP voting for the Tauron Basket Liga.

Logan, who represented Poland at last year's EuroBasket, was the MVP of the play-off finals this season.

Lukasz Majewski of Polpharma Starogard was voted by the media as the Most Improved player and the Best Defender.

He also earned a place on the third team.

Here are the Official Polish League 2009/2010 Awards:

Best Polish Player: Krzysztof Szubarga, Anwil Wloclawek

Best Bench Player: Gintaras Kadziulis, Trefl Sopot

Best Young Player: (1989 or younger): Tomasz Snieg, Polonia 2011 Warszawa

Best Polish Newcomer: Dardan Berisha, Polonia 2011 Warszawa

Most Improved: Lukasz Majewski, Polpharma Starogard

Best Defender: Lukasz Majewski, Polpharma Starogard

Best Coach: Milija Bogicevic, Polpharma Starogard

Best Five: Krzysztof Szubarga, Anwil Wloclawek; David Logan, Asseco Prokom Gdynia; Qyntel Woods, Asseco Prokom Gdynia; Michael Wright, PGE Turów Zgorzelec; Patrick Okafor, Polpharma Starogard.

Second Five: Dante Swanson, AZS Koszalin; Dardan Berisha, Polonia 2011 Warszawa; Jeremy Chappell, Znicz Jaroslaw; Nikola Jovanovic, Anwil Wloclawek; Saulius Kuzminskas, Trefl Sopot.
