In a thrilling weekend of action, both Perfumerias Avenida and ZVVZ USK Prague recaptured their respective domestic Cup titles.
AVENIDA COLLECT COPA DE LA REINA
After a one year absence away from the trophy cabinet in Salamanca, Perfumerias Avenida regained their Copa De La Reina title from arch-rivals and holders Rivas Ecopolis in a 69-67 overtime thriller.
Avenida always looked the most likely after posting a serious of decisive runs throughout the contest, but Rivas managed to hang tough and forced the extra period with a late run, led by Frida Eldebrink who dished up seven assists.
She combined with Swedish national team colleague Louice Halvarsson for 29 points in the game, but it was to no avail, as MVP Angelica Robinson inspired Avenida to victory with a magnificent game-winning double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.
ZVVZ USK PRAGUE EXTRACT SWEET CUP REVENGE
Having relinquished their Czech Cup title last year to BK Imos Brno, there was some sweet revenge dished up by ZVVZ USK Prague as they posted a late run to take back the coveted silverware in an exciting 73-67 success.
Head coach Natalia Hejkova watched with contentment as her players scored nine of the last 11 points in the game to secure victory, with Montenegrin forward Jelena Dubljevic and American center Kia Vaughn sharing 38 points and 15 rebounds.
Laia Palau continued her rich vein of form with an impressive 12 points, seven rebounds and six steals, whilst Tereza Peckova and Alena Hanusova combined for 37 points in defeat.
VILLENEUVE SUFFER DENT TO TITLE HOPES

Villeneuve d'Ascq are attempting to land silverware on all fronts having reached the Final of the French Cup and the EuroCup Women semi-finals.
However, their hopes of winning the regular season LFB title have taken a blow after they were stunned 64-62 in a heart-breaker at resurgent UF Angers. Croatian forward Iva Sliskovic was their main tormentor, hitting the game-winning shot and scoring 16 points.
Fellow contenders Tango Bourges and Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration both took advantage by picking up wins, the former cruising to a 62-47 win at Tarbes Gespe Bigorre and BLMA taking a 71-63 road success at USO Mondeville.
Marianna Tolo continues to enjoy a stellar season in a Bourges vest, coming up with another power-packed display, accruing 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Elsewhere, Basket Landes squeezed out a tight win at Hainaut Basket and there were demolition victories for Lyon who routed Nice 84-65 and also for Nantes Reze who pummelled Arras 100-49.
TAURASI HOLDS DOWNTOWN CLINIC

The headlines in the Russian Premier League were written by Diana Taurasi who produced an astonishing three-point shooting display to help leaders UMMC Ekaterinburg dismantle nearest challengers Nadezhda Orenburg.
The guard made an eye-bulging ten triples from 13 attempts on her way to 34 points as UMMC delivered a 91-69 victoy to bounce back from their EuroLeague Women loss in Kayseri. The consolation for Nadezhda was a playing return for Glory Johnson, who has been absent in recent weeks with an injury.
The intense battle for a top four spot was ratcheted up a notch as Sparta&K M. Vidnoje suffered a gut-wrenching 74-70 home loss to Dynamo Kursk - despite 17 rebounds from Ksenia Tikhonenko and a fine double-double of 17 points and 12 boards from fellow center Natalia Vieru. Kursk gained valuable ground as Seimone Augustus torched her ex-employers with 22 points.
Dynamo Moscow warmed up for their EuroCup Women semi-final this week by beating Enisey Krasnoyarsk 88-55, with forward Tatiana Vidmer scoring 23 points and harvesting 15 rebounds in the absence of the rested Tina Charles.
CCC POLKOWICE TURN UP THE HEAT
Despite being without the services of the injured Janel McCarville, CCC Polkowice finally grabbed their first win of the campaign against fellow Polish powerhouse and BLK leaders Wisla Can-Pack.
Belinda Snell returned to action and sunk 19 points as well as handing out five assists to help her team record a 62-55 success and close the gap in the standings.
Jantel Lavender replied with 15 points and 11 rebounds, but didn't enjoy one of her trademark efficient shooting nights.
ISTANBUL UNIVERSITESI SUFFER BLIP

Istanbul Universitesi have suffered a domestic setback just a handful of days before their mouth-watering EuroCup Women semi-final first-leg against Dynamo Kursk. The fourth-placed side were left shocked on the road 82-78 by lowly Orduspor.
Seven unanswered points to finish the contest sealed the deal for the hosts, with Gizem Yavuz producing a scintillating shooting performance en-route to 21 points. Tugba Palazoglu matched the tally in defeat for the visitors.
There were no other shocks for the leading clubs as Spanish star Alba Torrens produced an eye-catching 17 points, six rebounds and six assists for leaders Galatasaray odeabank in an 87-52 rout of Ceyhan Belediye.
Fenerbahce were similarly convincing winners against Konak Belediyesi as Angel McCoughtry corralled 16 points and eight boards, whilst fresh from their superb win against UMMC Ekaterinburg, there was a 76-64 home win for Kayseri Kaski spor against Homend Antakya as Pinar Demirok claimed 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Courtney Paris was another player attaining a double-double after amassing 17 points and 15 rebounds for Mersin Buyuksehir who won 60-52 at Besiktas.
Nearest rivals Adana Botas registered a 59-50 success at Ceyhan Belediye and finally, Natasha Lacy produced another stunning contribution of 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists to propel Tarsus Belediye to a 79-65 win against cellar dwellers TED Ankara.
