FIBA Europe 3on3 on Gran Canaria
The town of Arucas is the penultimate stop of the 3on3 Gran Canaria Tour

The 3on3 Gran Canaria Tour has its penultimate stop on the island in Arucas, on Friday and Saturday.

Three 3on3 courts have been prepared in front of the picturesque backdrop of Casa de la Cultura (house of culture) in the centre of the town, setting the stage for the last chance for all participants to qualify for the grand finale of the tour.

The master final takes place in capital Las Palmas, on 21 and 22 April.

Arucas, a small town located just 15 km outside of Las Palmas, is the fourth stop of the FIBA Europe 3on3 tour on the Spanish island.

In the first three tournaments, more than 600 players participated with the ultimate goal to qualify for the master final.

Games in Arcunas will take place on Friday and Saturday with male and female participants of all ages playing in multiple categories to determine the winners.

The Gran Canaria tour, an initiative of the Council (Cabildo) of Gran Canaria, started out as a side event that was held in conjunction with the FIBA Europe Techno Centre official opening on 24 February.

The initiative that has developed in a tour of six events had the full support of the Municipality of Las Palmas and the University of Gran Canaria, who are also patrons of the Techno Centre.

The Cabildo financed the event in full and requested the assistance of FIBA Europe 3on3 Manager Robert Rieblinger in organising it.
