The 3on3 Gran Canaria Tour will come to an end this Saturday 21 April in the same place it started two months ago, the city of Las Palmas.
Seven FIBA Europe 3on3 courts have been set up by the specialist crew at the Alfredo Kraus auditorium in Plaza de la Música, the stage for the Master Final of the Tour.
The teams that finished first and second in the tournaments of Santa Ana (the first stop), Playa del Inglés, Santa Brígida and Arucas, as well as some teams invited by the organisers will battle it out for the title of FIBA Europe 3on3 Gran Canaria Tour champion.
Twenty teams will compete in each of the three categories: Seniors (men and women), Cadets/Juniors, and Children.
The games will start on Friday at 4pm and will go on until 8pm, while on Saturday action will kick-off at 10am and the Tour will conclude by 5:30pm.
The closing ceremony will start at 6pm on the same day and apart from the champions at each category, the winners of the slam dunk and 3-point shootout contests will also be presented with their trophies.
On Saturday morning the Consul of Sports of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Lucas Bravo de Laguna, will ceremonially throw the ball in the air for the unofficial tip-off of a competition in which 150 pupils of the local BP school will participate.
