Surrounded by dance theatres and libraries, Spuiplein, in the city centre of The Hague, is known for cultural events.
This weekend, it transforms into a 3on3 basketball metropolis.
On 4 and 5 August the Streetball Masters Final Weekend takes place, organised by the Netherlands Basketball Federation in collaboration with FIBA Europe and ST4R, the The Hague Streetball Association.
It is the last weekend of the Dutch Streetball Masters Tour 2012.
A total of 55 teams have registered for the qualification round on Saturday, eager to book one of the last 12 tickets for the grand finals on Sunday.
54 teams have already secured their place by winning previous stops on the Streetball Masters Tour.

The finals will be played in nine categories: Men 23+, Men U23, Boys U18, Boys U15, Women 23+, Women U23, Girls U18, Girls U15 and Wheelchair basketball (Streetball on Wheels).
The first-place teams in the categories Women 23+ and Girls U18 will win tickets for the 3x3 World Championships in Athens and Madrid, while the first three Men 23+ teams and the Men U23 winner will participate at the World Tour Challenger in Amsterdam on 18 August.
Besides various entertainment activities off the court, fans may look forward to the finals of the dunk and three-point contest, as well as a celebrity game, all being held on Sunday.
The celebrity game will feature Sander Lantinga (radio DJ 3FM), DJ TLM, Christon Kloosterboer (leadsinger of the band Rigby), Cees van Rootselaar (former Dutch international, currently sports commentator), Mike Nahar (former Dutch international) and Eliza Kucharska (Mrs. Poland in Holland - Benelux 2012).
Another highlight on the agenda is Redunkulousity, an international dunk contest.
The participants are Kristaps Dargais, runner-up at this year's Moscow Open dunk contest, Tijan Milic, dunk contest winner at the FIBA Europe 3on3 stop in Ljubljana in 2011 and 2012, Airdogg, Young Hollywood and Vincent van Sliedregt.
