3x3 EuroTour About to Launch in Bucharest

The 3x3 EuroTour 2013 is about to blast off with its inaugural event in Bucharest in front of the world's largest civilian building - the Palace of Parliament on the Constitution Plaza.

With more than 300 teams registered, the Bucharest event is expected to be a massive one featuring more than 400 games on eight state-of-the-art 3x3 courts throughout the weekend.

FIBA Europe, Romanain Basketball Federation and Sport Arena Streetball - the organisers of the tournament, will present many more exciting activities, among which are the Slam Dunk Contest, the three-point shooting contest, the Acrobatic Dunk Show and even skydiving.

World famous dunkers Justin Darlington (Canada), Porter Maberry (USA), Kristaps Dargais (Latvia) and Alexander Shalgin (Russia) will highlight the Slam Dunk Contest, which is scheduled for the Saturday night.

Several basketball legends will also be in attendance: FIBA Hall of Fame laureate Vlade Divac of Serbia;  Olympic Champion Sarunas Marciulionis of Lithuania; as well as World Champion Jorge Garbajosa of Spain.

The Bucharest 3x3 EuroTour 2013 event starts this Friday and will run through late Sunday night.
