Euroleague Women Final Four to be held in France

After careful consideration of bids received from France, Russia and the Czech Republic, FIBA Europe has decided that the Final Four of the Euroleague Women will take place in Bourges, France.

"I would like to thank all the countries who showed their interest and enthusiasm for hosting this event," said FIBA Europe Executive Director Nar Zanolin. "The Euroleague Final Four is the top women's club competition in our calendar, and we are looking forward to working with the French Basketball Federation to produce a top class event."

The Euroleague Women Final Four will take place on 11th and 13th April, 2003 with the following teams competing for the title:

Union Sportive Valenciennes Olympic (FRA)
CJM Bourges Basket (FRA)
UMMC Ekaterinburg (RUS)
Gambrinus JME Brno (CZE)

The Semi-Final games will be played on Friday 11th April in the following pairings:

Union Sportive Valenciennes Olympic (FRA) v. CJM Bourges Basket (FRA)
UMMC Ekaterinburg (RUS) v. Gambrinus JME Brno (CZE)
