Featured instructors will include some of the biggest coaches in European basketball such as Pepu Hernandez of the current World Champions Spain, Bogdan Tanjevic of the Turkish National Team, Cem Akdag of the Turkish Women’s National Team, and Gordon Herbert of the Georgian National Team as well as Pau-Orthez.
“Organising educational clinics has always been one of our most important goals,” said Turkish Basketball Federation President Turgay Demirel.
“It is always our hope that clinics assist coaches in developing good values that will provide a solid foundation on which to grow the game of basketball.”
“We’re ecstatic to be able to help bring some of the greatest coaching minds around to one place,” said FIBA Europe Coaching Coordinator Michael Schwarz.
“One of the joys of coaching is the willingness of older, more experienced coaches to share some of their wisdom with others in the profession.”
The event will also feature lectures on basketball and sponsorship, the referee-coach relationship and team health.
