Baris Ermis - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Fenerbahce (Turkey-TBL)
Career: Besiktas (Turkey-TBL, 2003-04); Efes Pilsen Istanbul (Turkey-TBL, 2004-07); Pinar Karsiyaka (Turkey-TBL, 2007-08); Turk Telekom Ankara (Turkey-TBL, 2008-09); Banvit Bandirma (Turkey-TBL, 2009-12); Fenerbahce (Turkey-TBL, 2012-13)

Ermis once again is on the fringes of making the Turkish senior national team. The point guard played a minor role at the 2010 FIBA World Championship and nearly made the cut for the last EuroBasket two summers ago. Ermis has really come on in the past three seasons. He led the Turkish League in assists in 2010-11 with Banvit (6.1 per-game) and was second-best the next season (5.8 per-game). He then moved onto a bigger club in Fenerbahce and averaged an impressive 2.7 assists and 1.3 turnovers in under 16 minutes-a-night in the Turkish League. The 1.93m guard also shot over 45% from long range while playing excellent defence. Ermis may not be expected to play a lot of minutes in Slovenia - if he even makes the final squad - but he can be expected to be productive in the time he does receive.
