| 15.11.2011 EUROCHALLENGE Okapi Aalstar destroyed Olin Edirne for their first win of the EuroChallenge. The Belgian club, which finished runners-up in their domestic competition last season, stormed into a 29-15 lead by the end of the first quarter and cruised to a 95-70 victory. Edirne led the Group F game 4-2 when Okapi's Kevin Kruger hit a jumper and Jackson followed with a three-point play. He then sank two more free-throws for a 9-4 Aalstar advantage. The Aalst club, which is coached by Bradley Dean, kept the pressure on and led by 14 at the end of the opening frame. They extended that to 57-29 by half-time. After their woeful start, the Turkish club was never in this one. Alex Ruoff finished with 24 points for the winners, who also got 19 points and 10 rebounds from Stefan Jackson. Edirne, beaten at home by ETHA last week, slumped to 0-2 in the competition. |
