Norrköping Dolphins improved to 2-1 in Group C of the EuroChallenge after an 84-73 home victory over Tampereen Pyrintö.

Anton Saks led Norrköping with 17 points while Keith Gabriel and Edgars Jeromanovs both scored 13 points and Pierre Hampton added 12 points. The Swedish host team picked up their second home victory of the campaign.

Finnish side Tampereen dropped to 0-3 in the group - with two road defeats - despite double-doubles by both Lamonte Ulmer (23 points and 11 rebounds) and Damon Williams (19 and 13).

Norrköping's 4-0 lead to start the game was the biggest of the first quarter, which featured five lead changes and four ties.

The second quarter was just as hard-fought with six lead changes and one tie. Norrköping however closed the first half on a 20-7 run with Jeromanovs scoring three three-pointers and a basket as Norrköping led 42-30 at halftime.

Ulmer and Antti Nikkilä brought Tampereen within 42-36 early in the second half but Martin Ringström's triple pushed the Dolphins' lead back out to 55-41. And Pavel Ermolinskij's three-point play late had the Swedish side ahead 61-46 after three quarters.

Gabriel hit back-to-back three-balls to start the fourth quarter and had another long ball and a dunk as Norrköping pulled ahead 72-53 with just more than six minutes to play. Tampereen tried to come back but two big threes by Saks kept the guests at bay.
