An error-strewn display by Dynamo Moscow didn't prevent one of the EuroCup Women front-runners from scraping past Partizan Galenika 70-65 in Group G on Wednesday night.

The Russian hosts spilled the ball 26 times and only made 11-of-21 from the free-throw line in an unconvincing and disjointed performance which could easily have led to a second loss in a row

There were only two points between the teams with just two minutes remaining, but the Moscow club held its' nerve in crunch time to take the win and bounce back from last weeks' disappointing loss at Basket Landes.

The success was very much down to the experience and contribution of Russian national team veteran Ilona Korstin who excelled with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists

As for Partisan, they rued some poor shooting and finishing around the hoop, as well as having no standout performer on a night of real opportunity to boost their qualification hopes.

Having edged out Dynamo Moscow in a tight game last week, Basket Landes witnessed the other side of the coin this week as they slipped to a 71-69 home loss to a relieved and delighted VS Prague who finally gets off the mark in Group G.

Petra Reisingerova was inspirational for the Czech team with 23 points and nine rebounds, a points haul matched by Marshae Dotson. The pair finished off a super 10-2 run up to the final buzzer which left the French club stunned.

In Group A, Chevakata stormed past Satu Mare 74-38 in Vologda. They choked the life out of their opponent, holding them to single digits in three of the four individual quarters. Some of this was due in part to the absence of the influential Annemarie Parau who didn't suit up for the visitors.

There were a host of impressive displays from Chevakata players including Katsiaryna Snytsina who top scored with 17 points, Yuliya Kiseleva and Glory Johnson who both grabbed double-doubles whilst Anastasia Logunova barely missed a shot all night. Only Andreea Orosz made it into double figures for Satu Mare with a team-high 12 points.

It was a similar story in Denmark where SISU was left trailing in the wake of Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration as the unbeaten group leaders claimed a 91-65 win. Gaelle Skrella had a wonderful shooting night with 25 points, missing just one shot whilst Ida Tryggedsson and Marie Malone combined for 39 points for SISU.

In Group C, Tarbes sealed an 82-72 success against Belfius Namur although it wasn't comfortable in the slightest since it was still a one-shot game early in the last period. Paoline Salgnac had 22 points and seven rebounds with Julie Wojta impressing for the losing side with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

A flawless display of perimeter shooting by Yvonne Turner helped Dynamo-GUVD past TSV Wasserburg 72-55 in Group D. In what could prove to be an important road win for the Russians, Spencer made four of four from the three-point line on her way to a game high 21 points.

The hosts were still firmly in the game heading at 48-44 with eleven minutes left on the game clock, but the visitors eased away with a strong finish. TSV Wasserburg will need German national team star Anne Breitreiner to come alive in coming weeks since her offensive struggles continued with a personal talley of just three points.

Elsewhere in the Group, Nantes Reze showed no mercy to BBC-Sint-Katelijne-Waver with a powerful 110-63 win as Caroline Aubert posted a picture-perfect shooting night. She finished with a flawless 20 points and there was also plenty to admire from teenage talent Claire Stievenard who had a career high 11 points in the competition.

Daphne Van Dessel and Sara Leemans both had 13 points for the Belgians.
