BESIKTAS PREVAIL AGAINST KARSIYAKA
Carlos Arroyo returned to the Besiktas Milangaz line-up and helped fire the Istanbul outfit to victory over Pinar Karsiyaka in a battle of EuroChallenge sides in Turkey's BEKO Basketbol Ligi.
Arroyo, who missed the team's previous two games with a calf injury, made it back for the weekend game and scored 14 points in an 88-80 win over Karsiyaka.
Besiktas shot the ball well, drilling nine of 19 shots from behind the arc with Arroyo making both of his.
Ersin Dagli and Adam Morrison each had 18 points and Zoran Erceg poured in 15 for the winners.
Dagli also had a game-high 10 rebounds as Besiktas improved to 13-4 to keep the pressure on league leaders Anadolu Efes.
Karsiyaka's Mire Chatman led all scorers with 22 points and Jovo Stanojevic had a solid all-round game with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Goran Ikonic also buried four of his six attempts from long range and ended up with 16 points in defeat.
The two teams won't return to EuroChallenge Last 16 action until 21 February.
Besiktas are 3-1 in Group K and already safely through to the Quarter-Finals while Karsiyaka are 2-2 in Group L.
TRIUMPH STUN UNICS
Triumph Lyubertsy rode the momentum of their 79-77 victory at Pinar Karsiyaka last week to a 71-61 victory over Russian giants UNICS Kazan.
Dmitry Kulagin had 21 points for Triumph, who took a 45-28 lead to half-time and were still on top by 17 heading to the last quarter.
Triumph coach Vasily Karasev said: "This is a very significant win for us.
"UNICS - it really is a rival the level of the Euroleague, which beat Panathinaikos on the road and Fenerbahce. It's a team composed of many great players."
Karasev says he didn't allow the players to relax mentally at the intermission.
"During the break I told the team 'with a 17-point lead, we are starting from scratch'."
"I want to congratulate Triumph on a well-deserved victory," UNICS boss Evgeny Pashutin said.

Triumph, 1-3 in the EuroChallenge Last 16, are 6-3 in Russia's PBL.
UNICS, who are doing well in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, are 4-4 in the domestic league.
In the VTB United League, BC Nizhny Novgorod lost in overtime to Budivelnyk, 80-76.
CHALON BOUNCE BACK
Elan Chalon slipped up at Szolnoki Olaj last week in the EuroChallenge but they were convincing winners at home against Poitiers in France.
After trailing 23-13 after the opening frame, Gregor Beugnot's team fought back to win 83-65.
Malcolm Delaney shone with 32 points and eight assists for Chalon, who connected on 10 of 22 shots from the three-point line.
Chalon, who are 2-2 in the EuroChallenge Last 16, are second in the French top flight and just a point adrift of league leaders Gravelines-Dunkerque.
Chorale Roanne Basket are top of EuroChallenge Group I with a 3-1 record but their fortunes in France's Pro A are flagging.
Luka Pavicevic's side fell 61-52 at Dijon over the weekend to fall to 11th place.
ARTLAND FLYING HIGH
There was a battle of EuroChallenge sides in Germany that was won by Artland Dragons.
In front of a 3,000 sold-out arena, Artland's Nathan Peavy had 23 points, David Holston 18 and Anthony King 12 in a 95-81 triumph over EWE Baskets Oldenburg.
Artland, who have already clinched a spot in the EuroChallenge Quarter-Finals, are third in the BEKO BBL with a 15-5 record while EWE Baskets are 10-9.
"We knew this would be a tough game because Oldenburg have a strong team," said Dragons coach Stefan Koch.
"I'm very pleased. The atmosphere was very good..."
EWE Baskets coach Predrag Krunic said: "It was a good game by both teams.
"We were well prepared for it because we knew the Dragons play very, very good basketball, even in Europe, and score a lot of points."
Telekom Baskets Bonn, meanwhile, were blown away by German league leaders Brose Baskets 97-66.
The hosts stormed into a 33-17 lead by the end of the first quarter and went to half-time on top 56-36.
The 6,800-strong crowd then celebrated as their team piled on the agony in the second half for Bonn, who are 3-1 in EuroChallenge Group J.
Bonn are now 10th in Germany with a 9-11 record.
FUENLABRADA ROCKED BY MANRESA
Porfi Fisac's Fuenlabrada are also assured of a place in the Quarter-Finals of the EuroChallenge with four consecutive wins in the Last 16.
They have had a solid season in Spain as well but on Saturday, Manresa brought them crashing down to earth in an 80-59 rout at the Pavello Nou Congost.
Fuenlabrada were a step behind Manresa for the entire game.
"I want to practice right now!" Fuenlabrada big man Mike Hall tweeted immediately after the defeat.
"I can't relax after a game like that!!!"
VENTSPILS DOWN SIAULIAI
BK Ventspils were too much for Baltic League leaders Siauliai, winning 96-87.
Steven Gray's 26 points were a game high for Ventspils.
The Latvian outfit has had a resurgence of late.
They are 2-2 in EuroChallenge Group I.
BK Pardubice slumped to a 92-82 defeat to BK Decin in the Czech Republic NBL.
In Belgium, Okapi Aalstar won decisively against Belgacom Liege Basket, 100-73.
