Arras won convincingly 73-37 at home over BBC Sint-Katelijne-Waver in the EuroCup Women on Wednesday. Nadezda Grishaeva had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the French side to their third win in four Group E games. Arras, runners-up in last year's competition, had control of the contest late in the first half with a 35-16 lead. After scoring the first 12 points of the third quarter, the lead was 51-18. Gabriela Marginean added 17 points for Arras. Carmen Guzman had 21 points for MBK Ruzomberok as they claimed a 71-66 home win in overtime against Partizan Galenika in Group G. The hosts trailed 63-62 when Katarina Tetemondová connected from the arc and put them in front to stay. Ruzomberok improved to 3-1 and Partizan Galenika fell to 2-2. Belarus outfit Horizont travelled to Russia and won 73-67 in Group A at WBC Dynamo. Tatyana Troina finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Horizont. In Group C, Nantes Reze had a strong first quarter, outscoring their AD Vagos 25-13, and prevailed 66-54. Doriane Tahane led Nantes with 18 points and six boards as they improved to 3-1 and dropped Vagos to 0-4. Hainaut Basket remained undefeated in Group D, beating Lemminkainen, 79-64. Petra Stampalija finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the French club while Lithuanians Lemminkainen got 14 points and 15 boards from Monika Grigalauskyte. |
