Arras Make Last Four With Easy Win



Arras cruised into the Semi-Finals of the EuroCup Women with an 87-66 rout of Dynamo-GUVD.

Leilani Mitchell and Pauline Akonga had 17 points each while Johanne Gomis added 15 and Adja Konteh 10.

Arras, who won the opening leg 76-67 on the road, immediately set about dismantling their opponents, with a 10-2 run giving them their first double-digit lead of the game, 20-10, just six minutes in on Mitchell's three-pointer.

Arras were able to comfortably hold their opponents at arm's length the rest of the night.

Dynamo clawed their way back from 17 points down to be in a 56-49 hole with 2:05 to go in the third quarter, but Arras responded with a 14-1 run that included two threes from Mitchell and one from Gomis.

Ksenia Bolsunovskaya led the Dynamo resistance with 17 points, while Ana Dabovic and Elena Gogiya had 10 each.

Arras had won the opening leg 76-67 on the road.
