Hard-working and a dynamic defender, Ziuzkova had been knocking on the door of the national team for a long period of time. But due to much backcourt traffic in front of her during the last decade, she couldn't earn the roster spot she craved. Nevertheless, she continued to grow and mature as a universal combo guard who is dangerous and effective at both ends of the floor. Last year she was arguably the best point guard of the Belarusian championship, leading Tsmoki-Minsk to their first title in the club's history. So it was obvious that the strong one-on-one defender and creative passer was bound to make her international debut in the not-too-distant future. Volha is considered to be one of the backbone players of Buyalski's squad due to her reliability and consistency on defence and in offence.
