Hailing from a basketball family that includes a mother who played for Yugoslavia and a sister Marina, Mirna Mazic is continuing the tradition by bringing her skills to the National Team. She didn't play last summer during the Qualifying Round, but is expected to return in time for her team's trip to EuroBasket Women 2011. She is a good rebounder and strong finisher who played as a 19-year-old in the Qualifying Round for EuroBasket Women 2005. At club level she started last season playing in EuroLeague Women with Energa Torun of Poland and finished with Panionios of Greece. However her best performances arguably came during 2009-10 in EuroCup Women when she showed her quality by averaging a season double-double in the competition for ZKK Medvescak.
